We are a responsible hobby breeder.  We are committed to raising healthy, happy and confident puppies that have endless potential.  We focus on producing puppies with temperaments suitable for therapy or service work.  Our breeding dogs are not just breeding dogs, they are our family and enjoy the comfortable life they deserve.  Our parent dogs are health tested and actively participate in various canine sports and activities such as Scent Work, Rally, Obedience and Conformation.  It is our goal that each one of our adult dogs is therapy certified.  Our puppies are raised inside our homes using a hyprid Puppy Culture Protocol/Avidog program.
 

Jenica started Show Me Goldens in 2011 with the purchases of Jolly and Axel from Republic of Serbia, although her family has been raising Goldens since she was a child. Jenica has been working as a veterinary technician since 2003 where she began in a small animal clinic before transferring to a mixed animal practice.  She currently works as a vet tech in a small animal practice in Purdy, MO. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her dogs. She has been involved in her local dog training club (Springfield Missouri Dog Training Club). Jenica is the treasurer and secretary for Competition Dogs of the Ozarks, our local UKC club and is active in Pet Therapy of the Ozarks.  She is frequently CDO's trial secretary.  Jenica is a AKC CGC evaluator and Farm Dog Judge.  Jenica is also currently serving as the secretary/treasurer of the Golden Retriever Club of the Ozarks (AKC, provisional).  She has 3 children and a husband who support her and help her with her dogs.  Jenica is an AKC Breeder of Merit.

 

Kelly and Jenica have been friends for about 17 years.  They started as horseback riding buddies and quickly realized they had many things in common.  After falling in love with Jolly, Kelly decided to take home Addie from Jolly's very first litter.  Kelly loves horseback riding, camping, hunting and is very active with Pet Therapy of the Ozarks.  Kelly and her husband, Tim, live on 20 acres.  Kelly was a Scent Work and AKC STAR Puppy instructor at a local dog training club (Springfield Missouri Dog Training Club) where she also served on the Board of Directors.  She is currently a member of Pet Therapy of the Ozarks and is the Vice President.  Kelly is the President of the Golden Retriever Club of the Ozarks (AKC, provisional).  She is a member of AKC's parent club, Golden Retriever Club of the America's, and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.  She is currently completing her certification to be a professional trainer.  Kelly is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Farm Dog Judge.  Kelly is an AKC Breeder of Merit.
